Yahtzee is amazingly simple and yet complex at the same time. The premise is very straightforward. You have five dice in which to roll certain hands that will garner you a score on a score card. These dice need to be made of certain orders or amounts of numbers set up like poker hands. There is a great deal of strategy to Yahtzee, but before you learn the strategy you need to learn the basic rules.

Anyone can play Yahtzee because of the easiness in learning the game. The overall object is to achieve the highest score in 13 hands. Each hand consists of a roll of five dice, a second reroll, and then a third rerolls. As the hands are each finished you take the score that you get and record it on a special score card that has an Upper Section and a Lower Section. Each combination of rolls gives the player a certain number of points, and depending on what you rolled, the score will be noted either in the Upper Section or the Lower Section.

The Upper Section is made up of boxes of numbers. You have your Ones, Twos, Threes, Fours, Fives, and Sixes, as well as a bonus box. Your goal is to fill in as much of these numbers as possible. For example, you want to get as many Sixes as possible to get the highest score. If you get 63 points in total you get a 35 point bonus. The Lower Section is made up of 3 of a kind, 4 of a kind, Full House, Small Straight, Large Straight, Yahtzee and Chance. Each one has a certain number of points attached to it.

The rules are as follows. You roll your five dice. After looking at the dice you decide if you want to keep any of the dice that you see, and reroll the rest of them. You have a huge amount of flexibility as to which of the dice you keep, if any, and which you want to reroll. When it comes to rerolls there are two subsequent rules. You can either keep any of the dice you want before you reroll, or you can keep all of the dice and stop at any point. You do not need to reroll if at any time you get the hand that you are looking for.

For example, if you roll a 34456 on your first roll you may decide that all you need is the Small Straight so you do not roll any more. However, if you need a Large Straight, you may put the 4 back into the cup and reroll two more times to see if you can get the Large Straight. It is not mandatory to use all three dice rolls, but if you need to then you have that option. To reiterate, you can stop after the initial roll, the second roll, or you may continue till you have exhausted all three rolls.

Essentially that is the entire game. Your whole premise is to make the hands that correspond with the scorecard. The more hands you make, the more points you get. At the end of the game you tally up the points and whoever has the most points wins.

In this article I will give you the basic to playing Omaha Poker, If you are already established with Texas Hold’em you should already understand the basics of Omaha. However beware if you are a Hold’em player as there are some pitfalls which are pointed out towards the end of the article.

How to Play Omaha.
Omaha is played in pretty much they same way as hold’em but with several differences, the main and most obvious difference being that the player is dealt 4 hole cards with which to make the best hand rather than 2 in poker. You can use any of your 2 hole cards and any 3 of the boards 5 cards to make the best hand. Hands are ranked in the same way as Hold’em (Royal Flush being best down to High Card being worse)

Omaha is not Hold’em
This is the most important thing to remember when converting from Hold’em. Being dealt 4 cards doesn’t give you an 2 extra hands it gives you 6. Omaha is much more variant and bad beats can be a very common occurrence, Just because you are ahead on the flop and you know it, there will still be many outs for your opponents. Also being Dealt AAKK doesn’t necessarily mean you are powering ahead of your opponents preflop. Imagine you have Ac Ad Ks Kd and you hit the flop of 3c 4d 7c you may think you have the nuts, but really there are so many potential hands out their such as flush and straight draws, 3oak and 2 pair even hitting an A on the river will only give you 30ak against so many more powerful hands. Also an important thing to remember is if a pair appear on the board their is a very high chance of someone hitting a fullhouse or 4oak. Straight flushes are also a very high possibility in Omaha games.
Also you must use at least 2 of your hole cards, for example the board see’s 4 clubs come up and you have the Ac and the rest of your cards hold no value. You do not hit a flush at all. This can lead to many curious hands, another example being Q K Q K 10 are showing on the board and you have A J, you hit a straight, if another player has A K they’ don’t hit a full house just three of a kind (KKK) with Ace Kicker. This can be a strange rule to get used to especially if you come from a Hold’em background where you don’t need to play any of your cards.

Other Versions of Omaha
HiLo Two separate pots are available to win . The lo pot is where you have the five lowest cards made from 2 of your cards and 3 on the board (the best hand being A2345) flushes, straights, pairs etc don’t count for the lo pot. Assuming the other player can beat the lo pot winner with his 5 best cards he will win the high pot.

Start out at the small tables when playing omaha 0.020.05 are best if your just starting out. Play around with Pot limit and fixed Limit (quite rare to fine players here) tables, as well as HiLo tables. New players may not be as comfortable playing HiLo tables straight away (so this might be a good way to exploit them!)

Preparation
Mix together muesli, wheat, apple and half the yogurt in a bowl and refrigerate covered overnight. Divide it into four serving bowls. Top evenly with remaining yogurt, mango, passion fruit pulp and flaked almonds and serve.

Choose plain lowfat yogurt for the fewest calories. Fruit and flavored products have extra calories. Nonfat yogurt sweetened with artificial sweetener is an option for dieters. Plain yogurt is the best choice for cooking.

Serves 2. Preparation time 10 minutes.

Ingredients

liPapaya peeled and chopped 125 gram

liTropical fruit juice 150 ml

Preparation

Mix all the fruit pieces together and pour the fruit juice and honey on top. This is an excellent dish to start your day.

Serves 4. Preparation time 20 minutes.

Ingredients
ulliWater melon 1 no (medium size)
liTomato kg
liCelery 20 gram
liOrange 4 no
liGrapes 100 gram
liPineapple (chopped) 1 cup
liRaisins 12 no
liSalt and pepper to tasteul

Salad Dressing
ulliSalad oil 6 tsp
liMustard 2tsp
liChopped onion 2 no
liPepper 2tsp
liSugar 1 tspul

Blend all the ingredients for the salad dressing in a mixer.

Preparation
Chop all the fruits and vegetables. Take the pulp out of the watermelon and put all the chopped fruits and tomatoes into the outer covering of the watermelon. Pour the salad dressing on top. Garnish with raisins.
Serve chilled.

Eating fruit and vegetables raw gives you many of their vitamins undiminished by cooking processes. It also means you get enzymes which are great for helping the digestive process. Watermelon is rich in vitamin C and is also one of the few sources of lycopene, others being tomatoes, red grapefruit and guava. Lycopene is a particularly effective antioxidant.

Recently, someone asked me for my views about the amount of daily calories they should consume, and whether a 8001000 calories’ intake can help to speed up their weight loss.

I thought this is something you’d be interested in, so I’m going to share my thoughts with you as well.

You’ve probably heard this many times consuming too many calories makes us overweight. Of course, this is TRUE…

Both eating less or exercising more will most definitely result in weight loss.

It’s a simple matter of arithmatic if your “calories out” is more than your “calories in”, you will lose weight.

Thus, it becomes very natural of us to think that if cutting calories is such a good thing, then the more you cut, the better, right? Doesn’t this mean that we’ll lose the excess weight faster?

In reality, it is not so.

Making a toodrastic cut in your caloric intake is a very, very bad idea.

If you have been dieting for a while, you would notice that the extremely lowcalorie diets have been around for the longest time. But interestingly, most of the time they don’t lead to permanent weight loss.

Nonetheless, I’ve heard people discussing diets that recommend as low as 800 calories a day! I’m here to tell you that this kind of low levels is downright dangerous for your health.

According to weight loss experts, cutting your intake down to, or under, 1000 calories per day sets you up for an inevitable failure.

Why?

Because when you reduce your caloric intake down to this low, you are actually sending your body into “starvation mode” by eating far too little.

In simple terms, your body will start to think that there is a famine. And in order to maintain your weight while it “thinks” you are starving, your body’s metabolism rate will actually slow down. And your body will then start to store the calories into your fat cells instead.

If you want to prevent yourself from falling into this starvation mode “trap”, you must first know how many
calories your body requires everyday to maintain itself. A quick and easy way to do this is to use the tools that are found on our Web site at

This article is about weight loss and how to live a more healthy life, I hope you find it interesting to read and beneficial. I have had a lot of problems with my weight over the years and by the age of twentytwo had had enough of being obese. In the article I write about how I eventually lost my excess pounds.

I have always struggled to keep my weight under control. Being overweight affected my whole life, I was unable to wear the clothes I wanted to and I often felt guilty after eating certain foods. I was adamant that if only I could lose a couple of stones my confidence would increase and that I would ultimately be a lot happier.

I read many books and attempted to follow a range of diets. For whatever reason this did not seem to help me, mainly because I could not stick to their weight loss programs due to my love of fatty foods.

One day I was talking to a neighbour who was not only very nice but also quite thin. She looked very fit and healthy and I enquired as to how she kept so trim.

This neighbour who is called Gillian seemed quite taken aback and even flattered by my question and went quite coy. She stated that at one point in her life, she had also had a weight problem and had not been happy about it. What she was about to say was quite a shock to me, however would eventually change my life.

She went on to say that wherever she went to at this stage of her life, she would travel to by car. Gillian had realised that in an average week, she did very little exercise and at times did none at all. She then went out and bought a dog and would take this pet for a walk at least twice a day. This was not a choir for Gillian and over the next few years even resulted in her meeting a number of new friends. Previously, Gillian had seen exercise as a hassle and very time consuming but on various days she would take her dog on four walks, she enjoyed it that much.

Gillian quickly noticed that not only was she losing weight but that she also felt a lot healthier. It was not long before she was at a weight she was happy with.

After listening to Gillian’s story I decided to follow her weight loss program. Yes I went and bought a dog and am happy to report that it has also worked for me.

As we know, grunts are good hero killer with its normal attack.

Grunt, is the best unit in the game conservatively speaking and will against all other units.

The problem is that Grunt is a conservative unit. Their attack is not range. It doesnt has auto healing like trolls. It cant hit air. Its not a spell casters.

I found grunts to be the best bargain in maps containing health fountain. Those are maps like Lost temples.

Quickly build farseer and mass grunts like crazy. Quickly creep the middle creeps near the fountain.

Now, while creeping, your grunt will heal. Due to Grunts huge HP, Grunts will heal much faster in the fountain.

Grunts normal attacks work wonder on the creeps with small armor.

So, quickly disposed of creeps with small armors first before attacking the creeps with big armors.

If you have enough grunts, you can start building trolls. That way, you can level up your Far Seer really fast.

When creeping somewhere far from the fountain, Grunts really shine. No need to lure creeps and stuff. Just attack the creeps. Grunts have cheap HP. Also, when one grunts are about to die, just move that grunts to the fountain to be reused latter.

Now, attack with all your might, once you have the earth quake.

Retreat with town portal when necessary.

The enemies of grunts are of course, air units.

Thats why after about 68 grunts, start massing trolls. The trolls will take care of the air unit while your grunts take care the pesky hero and other ground units.

Usually, in the middle of a fight, enemies will focus on so many things. A quick earthquake to their farm would maximize damage even further.

When your base is attacked, try attacking enemies base. Grunts collect money every time they hit buildings. Also, with earthquake, chance is you do more damage to them than they do damage to you.

b1. Get clear on your ultimate weightloss goal.b

Be sure that your weightloss goal is realistic and that your expected rate of weight loss is reasonable. If you are on a heath enhancing, nutritionally rich weight loss program you can expect to loss one to two pounds a week. Each body has its own ideal weight and size. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else, but listen to your body and notice what feels best for you. A simple way to approximate your ideal weight is by referring to a Body Mass Index chart.

Unless you are eating enough protein to maintain your lean muscle mass, you are likely to have lost weight already from both your fat stores and muscle. A wonderful way to boost your metabolism and break through to the next level of weight loss is by incorporating aerobic exercise into your program, such as 30 minutes of walking three to four times a week. (If you are 35 years or older, or haven’t exercised regularly, begin with 10 to 15 minutes two to three times a week.) In addition, weight training with free weights or machines several times a week can help increase muscle mass, which in turn allows you to burn more calories faster. Studies show that weight training can increase your metabolism overnight by five to 10 percent. Working out can increase your metabolism for up to 21 hours after an intense workout.

b4. Look out for hidden carbohydrates.b

If your weight loss progress seems slow, look out for carbohydrates that might be sneaking their way unnoticed into your diet. Sugar can lurk in the most unexpected places such as ketchup, salad dressings, teriyaki and barbecue sauces. Watch out too for cornstarch, sugar or milk solids in many processed foods such as gravies, or sauces on frozen vegetables. Be especially careful about “lowfat” foods where flavor is enhanced by sugar and other carbohydrates. Try keeping a diet journal for a couple of days of EVERYTHING you eat and drink. You may quickly discover the hidden carbs that are keeping your weightloss progress stuck and be able to eliminate them and move past your plateau.

b5. Take the “refinement” out of your diet.b

Try eliminating all refined sugar and refined grains from your diet. This includes white bread, pastries, pasta, white rice, white flour crackers, sugarcoated breakfast cereals, cookies and cake. This simple step can encourage a huge weightloss breakthrough and leave you feeling more healthy and energized in the process.

b6. Don’t go hungry.b

Cutting back on how often you eat can have a negative impact on your diet plateau. Many studies show that small, frequent meals are more satisfying and produce better weightloss results than the same number of calories consumed in three large meals. Take advantage of healthy snacking and crunch on fresh slices of raw vegetables like celery, peppers, cucumber and jicama when you’re hungry.
